What this chipper actually gives you
15 hp gas
Gas keeps the machine light enough to tow behind a half-ton pickup and simple enough to service yourself. No dyed off-road diesel record-keeping, and you refuel anywhere.
Electric key start
Turn a key and it runs. The recoil is a backup for the morning the battery is flat, not the normal way in.
Hydraulic feed
A lever at the hopper drives the timber through, so you are guiding branches rather than shoving them. Safer, and far less tiring across a full day.
Belt drive
Engine to rotor through a belt — a wearing part you can inspect, tension and replace on site with ordinary tools.
Tows on a ball hitch
Single axle and a standard coupler. It goes to the job behind the truck you already own.
Adjustable chute
Rotate the chute and set the deflector to drop chip into a truck bed, a trailer or a pile without moving the machine.

What size timber will it take?
We are confirming the exact rated capacity with the manufacturer and will publish it here rather than estimate it. If you need the figure before you order, email us and we will confirm it in writing the same business day.
Can I tow it behind a pickup?
It is built on a single-axle road chassis with a standard ball coupler. Check your vehicle's tow rating and tongue weight on the door-jamb sticker and the hitch label, and confirm the machine's gross weight with us before you set off. Trailer lighting and registration requirements vary by state.
Gas or diesel?
Gas. At this size gas gives the best power-to-weight ratio, keeps the towed weight down, and avoids the record-keeping that comes with dyed off-road diesel for commercial use.
Do I need training or a license to use it?
There is no federal license to own or run one. For commercial work OSHA expects operators to be trained and competent for the equipment they use, and ANSI Z133 is the recognized safety standard for arboricultural operations. We supply the manual; we do not provide certification.
Is the engine EPA certified for sale in the US?
We confirm the engine's EPA emissions certification, and its CARB status if you are in California, in writing before you order. Ask us and we will send it rather than state it here before we can evidence it.
What does the warranty cover?
Two years on parts we supply and one year on the engine. Wear items — blades, belts, filters and the anvil — are excluded, as is damage from feeding stone, wire or metal into the hopper. Full terms are on our warranty page.
